We were tasked to create buzz and conversation about the R U OK? National bus tour and R U OK? Day in Sydney and to initiate a call to action for local members of the community to attend the events in each location, including the 18 regional and metro events, via local media coverage.
We gained widespread media coverage for each stop on the bus tour including a Sky News Australia cross to the Darwin event. With Wendell Sailor as an ambassador for the Sydney event, interviews were secured on The Morning Show, Chris Smith’s 2GB show and Triple M’s breakfast with the Grill team, these alone totalling a combined audience of 413,000. Over 1 million Twitter accounts were reached using #ruok, #ruokday, @ruokday.
